EXERCISE #1
Name: Te-Sennen (Hand Twisting)

  Description: Stand with one foot slightly in front of the other, hold the suburito with one hand and extend your arm so it and the weapon are parallel to the ground.  Hold your arm steady and raise the suburito so it is pointing up and away from your arm at a 45-degree angle, pause briefly in this position, lower the weapon so it is pointing down, pause, return to the starting position and repeat. When you done the appropriate amount of  repetitions, repeat the drill with your same hand to the other side. For example, you will hold the suburito on other side of your head and repeat the exercise. When you finish you right hand, repeat the drill with your left hand.  

  Sets and repetitions: Do one set of 10 repetitions with each hand. 
  Martial Arts Benefits: Improves grip strength for grappling and stronger punches.
  Note: You can also do this drill using both hands at the same time.
