STRONGER WRISTS
MEAN POWERFUL PUNCHES
BETTER GRAPPLING SKILLS
FEWER INJURIES
AND STRONGER BLOCKS

What's old but new and exciting?        A suburito.

This device, which looks like a cross between an oar and a baseball bat, can be used to strengthen your grip.  Regardless of what style you practice, strong wrists will come in handy.  Martial artists from the past certainly realized that. About 100 years ago in Japan, they used to use branches to do this type of training. Obviously, we have evolved. Now we can accomplish the same thing with a modern device, but this workout provides a great way to get in touch with your roots.

Before you begin, make sure you warm up for about 10 minutes. You could jump rope or run around the gym for five minutes and then throw a few kicks and punches.
